The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze. You will serve as a Branch Manager in the Digital Engineering Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Major duties
You will serve as the Branch Manager providing software development life cycle, technical sustainment and maintenance of weapons systems. You will be responsible for program resources, management and execution of the assigned branch. You will maintain responsibility and accountability of resources, adhering to established regulations guidance, policies, and procedures in the execution of the mission. You will possess the technical background related to design, development, test and evaluation, analysis, installation, investigation, research, coordination, quality assurance, planning, and execution of assignments pertaining to complex systems. You will possess the knowledge and understanding of financial and administrative support tools and processes. You will be knowledgeable in cybersecurity and software technical requirements, processes, weaknesses, and implementations. You will prepare and present proposals; plan, schedule, organize, execute, and control projects, and communicate technical information effectively both orally and in writing.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading the technical execution for the development and testing of software and cybersecurity systems and their integration with ship combat systems to ensure the efficient and effective execution of warfare operational objectives.
