About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Bowling Center, RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. Performs administrative duties pertaining to bowling events, funds accountability, purchasing, inventory, and other aspects of Bowling Center's operations. Scheduled shifts may include days, evening, weekends and holidays.
Major duties
Performs administrative duties pertaining to bowling events, funds accountability, purchasing inventory, and other aspects of Bowling Center's operations. Responsible for the overall supervision of the Bowling Center Snack Bar staff and Recreation Assistants to include assignment of duties and establishment of work schedules. Trains employees on all aspects of lane operations and food and beverage operations. Promotes, organizes, and schedules a variety of bowling events (open, league, tournaments, EXTREME, and special events) and coordinates with military and local agencies to arrange entrance to base, lodging, reservations, etc. Builds individual activity banks (snack bar and lane operation) and initiates a cashier's report for each bank. Reads tapes and verifies activity banks to ensure accuracy of all transactions and reconciles cashier discrepancies. Prepares bank deposits and ensures daily deposit is accomplished. Counts and ensures balance of general change funds and documents a daily safe count. Receives and verifies cash collection from slot machines on an as-required basis. Maintains all applicable slot program documentation and issues refund for machine malfunctions as required. Responsible for all food ordering to include documents required for purchases from all sources. Conducts end-of-month inventories on all resale items for the snack bar and pro shop and completes required documentation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience in a bowling facility which provided basic knowledge of bowling programs, procedures, and rules (including rules related to the organization of leagues and tournaments), and which provided an in-depth knowledge of the operations of at least one of the functions of a bowling facility. Experience that demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other employees. Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items that included use of cash accountability control procedures. Must have basic computer skills and ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must satisfactory complete a National Agency Check with Inquireries (NACI) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of suitability and fitness for the position.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
