Job summary

Major duties

Serves as a sales and account management executive. Prospects for new clients through a variety of sources and sales leads utilizing the Internet, trade publications, competitive sources and trade shows. Develops proposals and evaluation criteria, and negotiates sponsorship and advertising agreements. Coordinates closely with local level counterparts and officials of other agencies or components to execute agreements. Obtains legal counseling as necessary. Acts as account manager for clients to ensure that benefits are executed and terms of agreement are met. Attends related board, committee, and special event planning meetings. Provides expert advice and assistance that includes training. Makes presentations, writes, and performs public relations duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience that demonstrates proven ability and experience in sales, negotiations, account management, and client care. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing, and have a working knowledge of the military and MWR community. A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or recreation is preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Possess a minimum of three (3) years in a sponsorship and sales role. OR 2. Two (2) or more years of experience in managing and/or growing two or more concurrent business-related social media pages with a minimum of 10,000 subscribers. OR 3. Three (3) or more years working in a sponsorship/advertising role with either a government/military organization, or at least 1 year in any the following areas: Youth or School Sports Programs Adult Sports Programs (Recreational or Professional) Music or Film/TV Concerts/Community Events Food and Beverage or Hospitality Services Fitness or Outdoor Recreation/Park Services APPLICANTS MUST ADDRESS THE HIGHLY PREFERRED in THEIR RESUME.
