Job summary

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at Outdoor Recreation, Ramstein AB, Germany. This position does not offer logistical support. Performs and/or assists in maintenance and sales operations of recreational facilities.

Major duties

Performs and/or assists in maintenance and sales operations of recreational facilities. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: open and close facility, ensure funds handling and security procedures are followed; perform consolidated cash-out and related procedures. Must provide proper DIN settings/fittings for customers and activity ski and SNB equipment for safe operation; demonstrate safety and conservation techniques for climbing wall; demonstrate equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities such as: camping, biking, boating, sports packages, luggage racks, pull-behind trailers, tables and benches/chairs and dunk booths. Perform merchandising of ODR retail store, observe retail stock levels and report findings to supervisor, and restock merchandise as required. Assist with monthly inventories, conduct internal and external security checks. Provides adequate technical information to customers concerning ODR retail products, rental items and OAP programs. Check in/out rental equipment and ensure proper equipment condition upon return. Must use POS terminals to take reservations and payments for customer rentals, OAP trips and retail merchandise. Responsible for setting up events, activities and parties for the climbing wall. Must provide proper and attentive customer service including properly greeting each customer upon entering ODR facilities and monitoring the sales floor at all times. Notify participants of schedule changes for OAP trips, programs, or parties for the climbing wall. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have satisfactory written and verbal communications skills. Must have practical knowledge and/or experience with outdoor adventure programs and equipment. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
