This position is located at JBLM MWR Sports, Fitness & Aquatics - Jensen Family Health & Fitness Center. Major duties
Leads a staff of 3-12 employees who perform work up to the NF-0189-03 level. Sets the pace of work to be performed. Serves as a recreation assistant in support of recreational activities applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials, and facilities. May be required to help plan, conduct, publicize and arrange support for a variety of sponsored events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. Leads and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis. May train lower graded or new employees. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualification
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Six months of experience training new employees. Six months of experience in support of recreational activities applying recreational skills to facilities and equipment. Six months of experience leading or coordinating a team in a customer service recreation environment, ensuring adherence to safety, operational, and daily reporting procedures.
