Major duties
Supports the Headquarters DLA, Operations Division, Agency Synchronization Operations Center’s (ASOC) Integration Operations Branch. DLA’s Agency Synchronization Operations Center is the information hub for DLA’s Enterprise, using data technology and business processes to receive, process, synthesize, analyze, and distribute, in “real-time,” data from several worldwide sources. Establishes and disseminates Knowledge Management policies, provides guidance and tools to manage essential information and content. Primary Records Manager, leading projects and trains staff on Knowledge Management procedures. Develops tools and establishes information infrastructure critical to DLA logistics sustainment capabilities in support of operations and world events to provide an understanding of data for leadership’s consideration. Maintains all internal ASOC web pages to ensure the rapid and accurate publication of contents. Develops sketches, concepts maps, storyboards, wireframes, knowledge repositories such as databases, intranets, and document management systems.
Qualification
To qualify for a Knowledge Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Expert of Knowledge Management and Information Management processes/systems within Logistics Operations. Knowledgeable of basic HTML and designs and implements graphic web pages or graphical data for data driven web applications. Experience in the overall logistics support planning process in relationship to other Federal civilian agencies, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Command Services (JCS), Combatant Commands (CCMD), and Military Services planning and exercise programs, projects and contingency operations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
