Job summary
You will serve as an Integrated Prevention Coordinator (IPC) in the Type Command (TYCOM) of COMMANDER SUBMARINE FORCE PACIFIC.
Major duties
You will serve as an advisor and primary prevention expert throughout the Type Command (TYCOM). You will support force readiness by maintaining programs that enhance Sailors' quality of life (QOL) and Quality of Service (QOS). You will identify and resolve problems related to prevention program objectives. You will implement training and education programs focused on preventing violence, harassment, and assault. You will assist commands with preventing destructive behaviors and fostering wellness. You will monitor and review survey data, such as the Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) and the Afloat Safety Culture Assessment (ASCAS), to develop Comprehensive Integrated Prevention Plans (CIPP). You will manage and provide leadership with organizational health and prevention program updates. You will foster individual, team, and unit performance to prevent suicide, sexual harassment/assault, substance misuse, family/interpersonal/workplace violence, and disparate equal opportunity treatment.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector advising on destructive or problematic behaviors (i.e., suicide, substance misuse, violence), tracking and analyzing metrics relate to prevention program activities and effectiveness, and developing methods and techniques for executing these programs in accordance with current policies and procedures.
