Major duties
You will serve as a Human Resources Management Specialist, performing duties in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Human Resources Office. You will advise management on recruitment strategies, sources, special programs, recruitment, relocation and retention incentive programs. You will provide guidance on merit system principles, prohibited personnel practices, the development and use of valid selection criteria in support of recruitment and placement processes. You will conduct briefings and/or informational sessions for managers or the workforce on human resource related topics to foster understanding and acceptance of new and/or revised HR regulations, policies and practices. You will manage staffing and recruitment data and requirements to ensure hiring goals are achieved in accordance with applicable governmental guidance and objectives.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing advisory services on human resources functions (e.g. recruitment and placement, employee relations, or human resources development) for an organization to ensure compliance with federal laws or regulations.
