Job summary

This position is located within the Fort Gordon Business Operations Division. Note: If claiming Current/Former NAF or APF Employee preference, you are required to submit a copy of your personnel action (DA Form 3434 or SF-50) with your supporting documents to be eligible for this preference.

Major duties

Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and common areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using brooms, mops, lightweight equipment such as vacuum cleaners and lightweight floor scrubbers, waxers, and buffers. Dusts waxes and polishes furniture and fixtures, cleans, disinfects and deodorizes bathroom and toilet facilities; Empties trash and make beds and changes linen. Washes mirrors, walls, windows, and blinds and provides and replenishes toiletries and room condiments. Notes condition of room and report any conditions requiring maintenance or repair. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies and condiments to perform assigned duties.

Qualification

A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Applicant must be able to follow simple oral instructions and use hand or light weight powered cleaning tools and equipment as described which generally require no prior training or previous work experience. 2. Must have the ability to follow instructions and read signs. 3. Must be able to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. 4. Must be able to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor repair and maintenance of equipment.
