Job summary

This position is located at McCoy's, the central hub of activity at Fort McCoy, WI. This facility includes Dining, Sports Bar, Bowling Center, Recreation and Leisure Activities and Conference and Catering Spaces. Announcement will a have a first cut office date of Nov 20, 2025, and applicants that submit a complete application packet prior to that date and found eligible may be given first consideration. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Major duties

Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment. Cleans, and dusts assigned areas. Empties trash. Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Performs routine maintenance of equipment. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities. Changes linens. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Moves heavy furniture. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties. Works independently under general supervision to accomplish assigned work. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade, to keep the assigned work area neat and clean, and to communicate both orally and in writing. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1 year of custodial, janitorial or general maintenance experience Experience using commercial cleaning equipment
