Job summary

You will serve as a COMBINED TRADES SUPERVISOR II in the OCEAN ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.

Major duties

You will plan overall work assignments on an immediate and long-range basis in accordance with established schedule requirements. You will ensure plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and needed stock is obtained from supply locations. You will maintain a current knowledge, and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. You will control the work of the lead shops and coordinate the work of the miscellaneous trades that are assigned work within the zone. You will establish, assign, and explain work requirements to subordinate supervisors, setting deadlines, priorities, and sequences to be followed for work operations. You will identify training and qualification needs of subordinates; effect on-the-job training, recommend personnel actions, and enforce disciplinary actions.
