Job summary
About the Position: This position is located in Honolulu, HI at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Department of Behavioral Health. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices.
Major duties
Provide evidence-based individual and group interventions for a wide range of mental health and behavioral medicine conditions within a primary care or integrated healthcare setting. Conduct rapid assessments and developing brief, problem-focused treatment plans for beneficiaries with acute and chronic mental health and behavioral medicine conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment. Consult and collaborate effectively with primary care providers and other medical professionals on patient care, treatment planning, and behavioral health integration. Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives and participating in quality assurance activities related to behavioral health services. Utilize objective behavioral outcome measures to evaluate treatment progress and contribute to program effectiveness. Present cases and provide training on evidence based methods to peers.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes performing behavioral health assessments and/or psychological testing, developing behavioral health treatment plans and/or recommendations, and providing treatment to behavioral health patients. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
