Major duties

Assists the Program Manager in overseeing and managing day-to-day operations of the PIEE Program Management Office (PMO) e.g. operations, strategy and stakeholder engagement. Responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of programs assigned by the Program Manager. Directs the preparation, authorship, and review of staff actions, providing guidance to ensure effective support for each PMO team. Coordinates activities across functional domains, ensuring PMO initiatives remain aligned with DLA, DPCAP, and overarching DoD acquisition and strategic objectives. Exercises technical and operational decision-making authority on PMO initiatives, recommending effective solutions and strategies to address complex management and programmatic challenges. Provides strategic guidance and direction while driving modernization initiatives, including the deployment of new tools, integration of advanced technologies and adoption of agile development practices. Assist with the implementation of system controls for data accuracy and ensures the PMO meets audit standards (e.g., SOC-1 SSAE-18 compliance).

Qualification

To qualify for Business Systems Program Manager, your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) or competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Ensures the cost, schedule, and performance of the programs assigned are met for the design, build and test of the solutions. Plans, directs, controls, and ensures the integration of activities for major functional and complex programs. B. Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
