Job summary

This position is with Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation at Phantom Warrior Lanes, Fort Hood's go-to spot for bowling and entertainment. We're seeking friendly, reliable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team setting. Whether you are assisting with ball returns, troubleshooting, or providing lane maintenance you'll play a key role in creating a great experience for soldiers, families, and the community. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Major duties

Maintains and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies. Including but not limited to automatic pin placing machines, automatic scorers, ball returns, and telefoul Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages. Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters in bowling pins and lanes, using wood plastic and lane stock, sands surfaces, and recoat them with appropriate finishes. Determines which mechanical assemblies are malfunctioning, what parts and mechanisms can be reworked or should be replaced with new parts, and the types of adjustments and alignments required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience directly related to the duties describe above. Knowledge of electrical principles and operating characteristics of electrical and electronic components for application as in the duties described. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Must have 3 to 4 years of Mechanical Maintenance Experience. 2. Must have 1 to 2 years Electrical Maintenance Experience. NOTE: Applicants who met both minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official for consideration first.
