Job summary

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Electromagnetic Spectrum Department (WX), Platform Protection & Countermeasures Technologies Division (WXR), Business Operations Branch (WXRB) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $137,000).

Major duties

You will serve as the Division Quality Focal Point for the Platform Protection and Countermeasures Technologies Division. You will be considered part of the Division Management team and will be responsible for ensuring consistent application of quality standards and driving continuous improvement across Division operations. You will serve as the primary contact for the Crane Management System (CMS) and a key liaison for all quality-related matters, effectively communicating policies. You will coordinate corrective and preventative actions, including conducting risk assessments and robust root cause analysis. You will manage the configuration of the Integrated Production Data Management (iPDM) system, ensuring data integrity and advising on documentation standards. You will review plans, approve data packages, perform visual and dimensional inspections to contractual specifications, completion of Product Quality Deficiency Reports and Out-of-Tolerance Notices. You will lead, develop, and maintain Division Calibration, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control programs. You will assist and coordinate internal and Command-level ISO audits and serve as the Division Operating Material and Supplies (OM and S) Lead.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Direct experience with Quality Management Systems and iPDM. Knowledge of specific metrology/calibration standards. Experience in developing and implementing quality processes or programs. Prior experience working with HAZMAT or ESD requirements. Knowledge or experience with Operating Materials and Supply.
