Sr Analytic Metholodogist
The candidate shall provide Analytic Methodologist services with facilitation, business process improvement, critical thinking, deductive logic, analytic modeling, geographic information systems, and research design:
- Review, assign, oversee and close out production assignments across tradecrafts as part of the office's Production Management Team, using both a legacy workflow system and a new workflow system
- Interface with specialists across our Analytic Production services office to ensure timely text, graphic design, and multimedia services
- Help diagnose underlying issues and opportunities in data crosswalk between the legacy workflow system and new workflow system, to include helping inform developers on each side of needed adjustments
- Work across the Production Management team and Catalyst (modernization) team to systematically document the need for improvements and automation opportunities for new workflow system versions
- Assist in creating and correlating metrics and metric views in the new and old workflow systems, to include Identifying opportunities to inject new processes, categories, and flags to improve insight and ultimately guide intelligence production
- Produce, process, and disseminate documents in many hardcopy, softcopy, and web formats and ensure compatibility with a variety of computer systems and telecommunications networks.
- Demonstrate customer service excellence by clearly and concisely communicating work status, methods, instructions, problems, requirements, options, and concerns with team members, managers, and customers within NGA and the Intelligence Community.
- Participate in meetings with customers, team members, contractors, and others to exchange information, make decisions, and/or provide updates.
- Support the office and other branches in accomplishing the agency's overall mission, including expediting crisis work. special assignments, and ad hoc tasking on variously scheduled arrangements.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum 10 years' experience, or combination of education and experience equal to 10 years.
- Proficiency and experience with facilitation, business process improvement, critical thinking, deductive logic, analytic modeling, geographic information systems, and research design.
- Extensive knowledge of Intelligence or defense analysis processes (e.g. targeting, collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination).
- Must have experience using quantitative and qualitative techniques to solve complex problem using analytic tools and techniques such as GIS, quantitative methods and data visualization, modeling, systems analysis, comparative analysis, and database development.
- Demonstrated ability to learn essential elements of information, identify sub-processes and dependencies, locate process dysfunction and develop alternatives or automation for new workflow systems, share expertise with production management and modernization teams and systematically document approaches and methods for process modernization.
- Demonstrated programming skilled for modeling processes, repeatability, efficiency, knowledge capture, hypothesis testing and process automation.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the US Intelligence Community specifically GEOINT production and analysis.
- Experience collaborating with NGA and the Intelligence Community.
- Superior customer service skills
- At least three years of relevant data analysis or methodologist experience
- Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency on PC platforms
- A history of identifying opportunities for Innovation
- The ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
- The ability to task out work and ask for updates from Junior and senior government personnel
- Production management experience
- Strong data visualization experience, especially in conveying metric insight
- Product conceptualization experience
- Editing, graphic design, UX, 3D, web development, or analytic knowledge
- Experience interfacing with intelligence analysis and/or conveyance specialists
- Experience with Python, CSVs and scripting
- Experience with dashboard/visualization conceptualization
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
