This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental impact assessments, mitigation strategies and regulatory requirements are met.  <h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO</h4> <ul> <li>Ensure environmental compliance with local, state and federal regulations, including hazardous materials, waste management, water and air quality to meet industry standards</li> <li>Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Orange County Sanitation District (OC Sans), SMARTs, and CERs</li> <li>Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and storage</li> <li>Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements</li> <li>Support the development and implementation of sustainability programs to reduce company’s carbon footprint, energy usage, waste and resource consumption</li> <li>Assist with Environmental incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures</li> <li>Serve as the key liaison with employees, management, customers, auditors, and regulators</li> <li>Conduct environmental inspections to identify and document and address environmental hazards</li> </ul> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li>3+ years if experience in overseeing hazardous waste management, environmental engineering or environmental compliance, ideally within the aerospace, manufacturing or R&D settings</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective engagement with leadership, regulators, front-line staff, and third-party partners</li> <li>Experience with 40 CFR Parts 260-279 for Hazardous Waste Management</li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines</li> <li>Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities</li> </ul> <h4>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment</li> <li>Experience in environmental engineering safety with a strong focus in Hazardous Waste Management</li> <li>HAZWOPER 40-hour, and RCRA/DOT certifications are a plus</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range">$86,000—$114,000 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion">  The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
