Job Description The Sector VP of IT & Digital Officer (SIDO) is a member of the IT and Sector leadership teams, reporting directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO), with dotted line reporting relationship to the sector Office of the President.

The SIDO serves as a trusted advisor to the Sector President/deputy and CIDO, providing strategic recommendations and guidance on IT investments and digital transformation initiatives that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage. The role also serves as the strategic interface between Sector and Enterprise Information Technology (IT) leadership teams, ensuring effective partnerships across the functions and program leadership, and ensures efficient, outcome-driven delivery of IT, cyber and compliance services and products.

The SIDO represents the sector business needs and priorities in the IT strategic planning process, and is responsible to advance and implement the Enterprise-wide IT strategy locally within the sector; proactively manages demand prioritization, drives value realization across major programs, shared services, and strategic initiatives.

The SIDO is expected to deliver the following key outcomes:
Develop and Execute IT Strategy
  • Collaborate with peers to develop and maintain a cohesive Enterprise IT strategy, capability roadmap and associated initiatives.
  • Devises a sector‑unique technology strategy and capabilities roadmap, aligned to Enterprise strategy and standards for scalability to the extent possible.
  • Supports sector leadership in customer and program pursuits, leveraging IT and Digital capabilities as differentiators for winning and retaining business.
  • Contributes to enterprise-wide IT objectives driving standardization and commonality where possible, at the right pace and cost point.
IT Service Delivery and Operations
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality IT services, including but not limited to infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data management, analytics, AI and other digital services.
  • Ensure IT service continuity, reliability, and performance, meeting or exceeding acceptable service levels and employee satisfaction.
  • Champion and advance initiatives to leverage shared services, enterprise platforms, and standardized solutions.
Digital Transformation and Innovation
  • Champion opportunities for digital transformation and innovation, leveraging emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business value through digital transformation and innovation.
  • Oversee implementation of AI strategies across the sector, in accordance with established policies and processes.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to Cybersecurity and Compliance directives and policies, continually strengthening sector security posture.
  • Ensure timely and effective response, execution and compliance with CISO and Audit directives, for an audit-ready posture.
  • Partners with business groups on non-IT managed environments to ensure adherence with established policies.
Talent Management and Development
  • Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, service excellence and continuous learning.
  • Develop and implement IT talent management strategies, including succession planning and career development programs.
Financial Management
  • Develop and manage the sector IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and ROI on IT investments.
  • Prioritize IT investments to advance Enterprise standards to the extent possible, for scalability and maximum use and value.
  • Champion financial transparency. Measure and connect IT cost to value and clear business outcomes.
  • Stewardship of the collective IT budget for best value delivery across the enterprise.
Demand and Portfolio Management
  • Oversee and manage demand intake in response to evolving business needs.
  • Forecast and prioritize sector IT needs, ensuring alignment with enterprise portfolio governance and resource allocation.
  • Monitor demand trends and provide strategic insights for future planning.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of major programs and technology solutions.
  • Escalate and resolve cross‑sector issues that impede delivery or business performance
Leadership, Collaboration, and Influence
  • Thought leader driving cross-sector and Enterprise collaboration and brokering solutions for the collective and maximum benefit of the whole.
  • Build trusted and lasting professional relationships with leaders and peers
  • Foster culture of trust, ownership, accountability and “us” versus “them” culture.
  • Communicate clearly and transparently to influence outcomes and progress.
Compensation & Benefits
  • This position is eligible for a comprehensive executive benefits and compensation package, including a competitive base salary, an annual performance-based bonus, and a long-term incentive plan (LTIP) inclusive of stock grants.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Problem Solving: Requires advanced conceptual thinking in complex and/or complex new situtations. Nature of Impact: Responsibility directly impacts the professional/technical direction and strategy. Area of Impact: Primarily sector-wide with accountability for cross-sector collaboration and enterprise influence. Interpersonal Skills: Skilled executive communicator with strong presence who influences and shapes strategies, outcomes and complex Enterprise, Program/Line of Business/Sector initiatives and direction. Negotiation Skills: Negotiates mainly internally, at higher levels, and occasionally with external relationships. Project Management: Project/Program Manager on large, complex projects or Program Manager on medium size programs ($25 to $75M in revenue), responsible for oversight of team and budget. Generally completed in 1 to 2 years. Min. Education: Bachelor's Degree. Pref. Education: Master's Degree preferred. Min. Experience: More than 12+ years of relevant work experience. Pref. Experience: More than 15+ years relevant management experience preferred. Min. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $200222 - $340378

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
