Job Summary:

This Project Risk Manager role is a senior role responsible for managing the project risk management program on this exciting project. Responsible for guidance, support, and SME technical expertise in project risk management (PRM) for the project across an audience of internal and external stakeholders. Managing and maintaining resilient customer facing relationships and strategically maintaining trust of project leadership, the role requires an influential, confident people person with the ability to drive focus on PRM, lead through encouragement and connect PRM with key interfaces across the project scope. The position will report to the Project Controls Manager.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Implement an effective and integrated system of risk management strategy: plan, processes, procedures, work instructions, etc. in line with international best practices and standards.
  • Maintain Risk and Opportunities statistics, monitor and report on Risk Management system effectiveness at both Project and Program level.
  • Support and monitor the implementation of the Risk function across Projects.
  • Facilitate and support risk and opportunity workshops across the projects
  • Facilitate risk workshops and advise on schedule/cost risk analysis.
  • Consolidate risks from Project level to Program level for overall review & reporting.
  • Report Risk Metrics and graphical displays including dashboards to Project Management.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision to meet multiple deadlines

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience​.
  • Experience in Qualitative Risk and ability to perform Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA)
  • Experience facilitating risk workshops, risk reviews/ sessions.
  • Experience and knowledge of all discipline’s risks during all Project stages from feasibility till handover e.g. procurement/contractual, QHSE, reputational Risks, etc.
  • Previous experience with software for risk management/analysis programs such as SAFRAN, ARM and @ Risk software

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Construction or Management (preferred) bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction or Management (minimum)
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in engineering and construction with minimum 5 years direct responsibility for management. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with multiple levels of Management
