Job Description
The Quality Manager (QM) is responsible for ensuring services meet customer expectations and regulatory standards by developing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems. Manages the Quality Management System (QMS), conduct audits, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, leading inspection teams, ensuring compliance, and fostering a Program-wide culture of quality.
Responsibilities
Major Job Activities
- Develop, implement, manage and maintain effective Quality policies and procedures that meet contract requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, enforce, and update quality control plans to drive performance using ISO 9001:2015 standards across the program.
- Must have the ability to: establish program objectives performance goals and assess progress; establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control and on-going quality process improvements; conduct root cause/corrective action analysis.
- ISO 9000 Lead Auditor qualification is preferred.
- Supports program teams in preparation for and executing surveillance and audit activities.
- Ensures the program maintains compliance with Contract Performance Work Standard (PWS) and ISO 9001 program specific requirements.
- Lead program personnel to solve ad hoc business problems.
- Prepare and brief executive level presentations, as needed.
- Manages the program’s QMS.
- Develops and maintains program QM policies and directives.
- Provide guidance to program teams consistent with corporate QM policy and procedural directives.
- This individual coordinate the correction of minor problems with area supervisors and managers and acts as liaison with the Government Quality Assurance representatives.
- Provide expertise of QMS compliance and for leading complex initiatives to advance and support the program to drive positive operational and financial results as opportunities arise.
- Develops and coordinates training activities.
- Prepare and brief executive level presentations, as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in a related field is preferred. One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess Passport with at least 15 months of remaining validity and with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
- Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Must be fluent in English.
- At least five years of experience in preparing and enforcing QMS programs on contracts of similar size, scope and complexity.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card
Physical Requirements
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Visual Acuity
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
