Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defensive Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer to help our Electronic Warfare programs stay on the cutting edge of rapidly evolving electronic support and countermeasures technologies. In this role, you will play a critical part in the research, analysis, and development of novel, advanced Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) capabilities in direct support of the warfighter.. This position is located in Warner Robins, GA.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Perform threat Radar system research and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Design, develop, and test ECM waveforms that exploit vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Collaborate with other ECM experts to identify novel ECM approaches and methods.
Provide laboratory support for ECM testing and system integration at local customer facilities.
Support planning, assist in coordination, and participate in customer scheduled test events.
Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
Develop and publish detailed test plans, test schedules, and test procedures.
Support test readiness reviews, and pre/post-test briefings.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent STEM related degree
A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience with a B.S. or 3 years with a M.S.
· Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance is required
Experience with radar waveforms, Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and/or Electronic Countermeasures (ECM)
Experience with analysis, testing and/or integration of complex SW/HW systems
Experience with software development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Threat Description Language (TDL)
Experience with ECM technique development
Experience with Field Gate Programmable Arrays (FPGAs), Digital Receivers, Radar signal processing, and/or Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFMs)
Experience with deriving system/software requirements and developing test plans and procedures.
Experience running RF lab test equipment, including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and EW specific analysis tools
Experience with EW software, systems and testing
Software experience in Ada, C-type and/or assembly languages
