As the Mechanical Designer, you will take full ownership of the Engineering Documentation and mechanical drafting for multiple hardware products at Anduril. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and documentation of both Electrical and Mechanical components within assemblies. The ideal candidate for this role possesses extensive experience with CAD systems, BOM management, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, along with a proven ability to rapidly design complex hardware systems. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong focus on manufacturability, industrial design, and the generation of comprehensive engineering documentation, this role is for you. <h4 style="text-align: start;">WHAT YOU’LL DO</h4> <ul style="text-align: start;"> <li data-uuid="5c01cbf5-9a09-44d1-9c31-e39de24c7bc9">Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed Bills of Materials for a set of hardware products, Engineering Change Notice documentation, and traceability of design changes from initial prototype to ongoing production.</li> <li data-uuid="c1327eef-f32e-4fdd-afc8-d0973b15c4a6">Develop detailed dimensional drawings for mechanical, electrical, and optical components to industry standards.</li> <li data-uuid="a54f0b43-6d74-4f28-87c2-1b2e9cfdae7e">Conduct tolerance build-up analysis and create GD&T drawings.</li> <li data-uuid="c8ffeab8-1fb9-42b5-b6dd-749e94531c40">Serve as the on-site expert on Teamcenter, guiding multiple stakeholders on best practices and various use cases.</li> <li data-uuid="61dac8e4-fac0-4ed9-9ec4-005e197389b3">Oversee ongoing maintenance and design changes on existing hardware products, ensuring thorough documentation of changes.</li> <li data-uuid="edd43995-3b55-4a65-9e5b-a25e4481c9ea">Drive the establishment of the Product Lifecycle framework, including engineering design release workflows, data models on parts, and the development of business tool automation driven by engineering releases.</li> </ul> <h4 style="text-align: start;">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul style="text-align: start;"> <li data-uuid="d0282256-11f0-4bf7-8766-af464a1e4966">5+ years of experience in detailed CAD drafting of complex mechanical systems, including structures, mechanisms, fluid systems, and electromechanical systems.</li> <li data-uuid="d0282256-11f0-4bf7-8766-af464a1e4966">Prior experience using Siemens NX or other variety of CAD tools. </li> <li data-uuid="1592f885-e534-4feb-a9d9-cf0e5d5bcc21">Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where products are manufactured at scale.</li> <li data-uuid="725d2ad1-17e4-43fa-bfd5-cdbebbead4da">Extensive knowledge of standard mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including metal molding, forming, joining, machining, complex assembly, additive manufacturing, wire harness fabrication, and printed circuit board fabrication.</li> <li data-uuid="244487bd-4a04-4e96-aaa2-bdaed5bc2529">3+ years of experience maintaining and enhancing a Product Lifecycle Management system, serving as a ‘subject matter expert’ for the team/company.</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" data-uuid="6e68af12-3f14-45e9-89ba-7b99534d31b8">Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance</li> </ul> <h4 style="text-align: start;">PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul style="text-align: start;"> <li data-uuid="90e5983e-3079-4e4c-ad37-9aa860f7ead4">Preference for Teamcenter experience.</li> <li data-uuid="dddea27d-3903-4133-9d81-67904801b0f2">Prior experience using Altium.</li> <li data-uuid="ad3a4bce-0942-4fcd-88d0-da9a6080561e">Familiarity with optical components, including individual elements.</li> <li data-uuid="8d53d892-e19e-4ec3-a195-534c78151650">Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li> <li data-uuid="b20f778f-9bd2-486f-b653-2059222ddc57">Comprehensive knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, including metal molding, forming, joining, machining, complex assembly, additive manufacturing, wire harness fabrication, and/or printed circuit board fabrication.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range">$113,000—$149,000 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion">  The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
