Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Repair Technician 2 based in Silverdale, WA.
Realize the rewards of conquering a new challenge... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Underwater Launcher System team.
What You'll Get to Do:
Disassemble, sandblast, paint, repair, assemble and test launcher hardware.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
Read and follow drawings, quality provisions, directives, safety procedures, documentation and other instructions with strict adherence to procedural compliance.
Qualify and maintain license to operate pendant controlled cranes, trucks and forklifts.
Good communication skills and basic computer skills required.
Work with ordinance strictly following all applicable safety and security regulations.
The selected candidate must be able to obtain ordinance worker qualification and have the ability to lift 40 pounds.
Basic Qualifications for the Repair Technician 2:
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, as well as preventative and corrective maintenance
Experience reading engineering drawings and diagrams
Experience with hazardous materials usage, storage, disposal (i.e. solvents, adhesives, paint, etc)
US Citizenship
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting and obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance after starting
Preferred Qualifications for the Repair Technician 2:
Experience with soldering, crimping, and fiber optics
Ordinance experience
Crane and/or forklift licensing
Active Secret clearance
