Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is currently seeking an Engineering Technician 2/3 – Construction to support our growing business in our Rocket Center, West Virginia location.

 Rocket Center, WV is located along the North Branch Potomac River in Mineral County, West Virginia and is home to the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), a government installation operated by Northrop Grumman. Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the construction and renovation of buildings and infrastructure
• Coordinates the installation or rearrangement of process equipment
• Works from drawings, specifications, written and verbal descriptions, and vendor information to verify contractor conformance
• Inspects materials and workmanship for conformance with project requirements
• Communicates with multiple contractors and project team daily
• Coordinates contractor activity with plant operations
• Provides technical support to plant personnel on a variety of technical tasks
• Uses personal computer in development of documentation/reports
• Able to work overtime as required

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience to qualify for a Level 2
• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience to qualify for a Level 3
• Experience with construction of buildings and infrastructure and process equipment installation
• Experience with Northrop Grumman / ABL operations
• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability and willingness to provide coverage on weekends and off shifts as needed

Primary Level Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $78,300.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
