This position is on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. There are no remote work opportunities for this position.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Generate quality reports such as First Pass Yield, First Article Inspection, Cost of Quality, etc.
- Analyze data and drive process improvements
- Develop inspection plans based upon contractual requirements
- Review data and statistical analysis to meet required standards and specifications
Facilitate Root Cause Corrective Actions - Build good working relationship with suppliers, conducting periodic supplier audits to make sure that they are working according to plan
- Validate and coordinate product readiness for use or delivery, including qualifications of new suppliers
- Provide and support failure analysis processes for program hardware
- Perform independent risk assessments on Mission Assurance issues and communicate issues and findings
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 2: A bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant manufacturing/quality experience or a masters degree with 0 years of experience, strong reference of a STEM Degree from an accredited college or university. Will consider 6 years of direct experience doing Mission Assurance Engineering in lieu of a degree
- Level 3: A bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant manufacturing/quality experience or a masters degree with 3 years of experience, strong reference of a STEM Degree from an accredited college or university. Will consider 9 years of direct experience doing Mission Assurance Engineering in lieu of a degree
- Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Able to use custom manufacturing software (i.e. Solumina) to maintain quality records, traceability, etc
- Able to work on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Use tools such as risk assessment, 8D, Root Cause Analysis
