Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is looking for a Calibration Technician 4 to support our Optical Metrology, Systems Test, and Systems Integration department located in Salt Lake City, UT.
What you'll get to do:
- Support the installation and testing of Single and Two Axis Rate tables and custom equipment used to Testing efforts on Navigation Equipment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system testing and sell-off.
- Communicate project status to the Manufacturing leads.
- Collaborate with Test Engineers and systems engineers to perform system architecture characterization on various system station components.
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods for individual pieces of equipment (both custom and COTS) and entire systems.
- Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
The ideal candidate must have working knowledge of SureCAl, troubleshooting equipment, basic manual tools, and be able to communicate written and verbally.
Basic Qualifications for the Calibration Technician 4:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience with optical calibration equipment.
- Must be able to support 2nd shift.
- Autocollimator experience.
- U.S. citizen required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance.
- Experience with standard test equipment: Theodolites, Sign plates, precision levels.
- Experience with standard measurement processes: Astronomical North Alignment, Optical angle transfers, two axis Rate table alignment, etc.
- Experience with Rate Table test systems: Centrifuge, Liquid Nitrogen Systems, Ultradex alignment, Autocollimator measurements.
