Lead electrical design for air separation plants, liquefaction systems, and gas turbine power generation plants
- Work directly with internal and external customers to determine electrical requirements/needs and wants.
- Assist in the development of drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial type projects.
- Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out.
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
- Coordinate with the electrical utility provider for design/engineering to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure.
- Provide support and direction to electricians and technicians during the construction and activation of power distribution equipment.
- Interact with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.

1+ years of experience in the design or build of building infrastructure electrical systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems (<600Vac).
- Understanding of medium voltage system design and construction.
- Working knowledge of switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, transformers, building lighting, building construction specifications, and facility grounding.
- Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches.
- Experience creating and implementing process/design solutions with minimal impact to business operations.
- Ability to perform Arc Flash, Coordination, and Power Studies.
- Experience designing for and building in classified environments.
- Able to quickly assess an issue and assist technicians with troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to work in a high-concentration, high-stress environment, under possible extended work hours and tight deadlines.
- Acute attention to detail, ability to see interactions with other systems to avoid problems.
- Familiarity with National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Association and International Building Code.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
- Perform hands-on work in all environments (heat, cold, rain), in tight quarters or at heights.
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Remain focused while working in hazardous environments, while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs unassisted.
