Operations Manager – Technical

This position is contingent upon contract award

Amentum is seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Technical to support a future shipbuilding acquisition program management services contract for US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Team Submarine (TEAM SUB).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversees the staff and manages activities of the Technical Operations Department of an organization.

• Plans, coordinates, and executes the design, development, testing, and installation of all technical components of a project, working with the entire technical team and with outsourcing companies or external clients.

• Analyzes reports and supervises the development of each project. Responds quickly to emergencies or questionable matters.

• Provides advice and direction to staff, and assures staff complies with technical guidelines and regulations.

• Recommends ideas for potential improvements, and anticipates future needs.

• Communicates the technical operations with other departments, keeping track of the company's business plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

• Minimum of 10 years experience with Navy Programs

• Must be capable of leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer

Desired Qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree

• 10 years experience with DOD acquisition / In-Service Programs

• 5 years experience working with submarine/combat systems

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100000 - $150000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
