Major duties
Joint Warfighter Support Representative for the Agency Synchronization Operations Center, Defense Logistics Agency Headquarters. Represents DLA by providing logistical assistance and adaptive planning support to United States Military Service components and other federal activities in the US Northern Command (USNORCOM) Area of Responsibility(AOR). Develops, refines, analyzes, and modifies logistical and supply program policies and plans having an impact on all military activities in the USNORCOM AOR. Identifies and resolves DLA customer concerns regarding logistics and supply of materials and goods. Analyzes statistical trends and reviews and assesses logistics programs to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with laws, regulations, agreements, and policies. Represents the ASOC and DLA Headquarters at staff conferences, seminars and exercises, and actively participates at corporate level discussions. Primary customer-facing contact for resolving emergency requests, maintaining customer data, and ensuring the timely processing of customer access to products, accounts, and order information. Technical representative and trainer to other DLA and Department of Defense agencies on internal DLA supply systems and computer-based data inquiry systems.
Qualification
To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience forecasting methodologies and collaborative planning to assist customers with long-range planning and forecasting. Evaluates logistics supply operational support plans, shortfalls, limitations, and other conditions which impact an organization's ability to perform its wartime logistics support mission. Experience with joint service working groups to resolve a full range of defense supply logistics supportability problems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
