About Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command
USTRANSCOM provides responsive air, land, and sea transportation support to deploy, sustain, and redeploy US military forces worldwide during peace and wartime. USTRANSCOM is also responsible for coordinating and overseeing the end-to-end global logistics and supply chain management systems within the DoD. Major duties
As a STRATEGIC PLANNING ANALYST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as a USTRANSCOM Senior Strategic Planning Analyst and functional expert, responsible for synchronizing the Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS) with planning, operations, readiness. Manages JSPS requirements and integrates operating policies and procedures for USTRANSCOM supporting plans to the Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan (JSCP) and Guidance for the Employment of the Force (GEF). Provides oversight and analysis of JSPS-related processes. Performs review and oversight of key strategic documents and plans
Qualification
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Performing strategic planning functions for operations at a higher headquarters level or higher Acting as a liaison between combatant commands and external DoD agencies Developing and implementing various plans, policies and processes related to combatant command operations Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
