This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties
You will troubleshoot, dissemble, repair, modify, overhaul, reassemble, test, install, remove, arm and de-arm Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS). You will visually inspect ballistic lines, tubes, hoses, and linkage for damage, deterioration, restrictions and security of connections and mounting. You will diagnose recurring malfunctions and recommend corrective action by initiation Quality Deficiencies Reports (QDR), proposed modifications and other appropriate action. You will load cartridges into aircraft systems and remove as needed, following applicable handling, loading and checkout procedures. You will enforce safety, fire, security and housekeeping regulations. You will perform analytical review on specific component and assembly publications, record findings, and submit via channel recommendations to Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) engineering.
Qualification

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Demonstrating the ability to use measuring instruments appropriate to the line of work such as: simple measuring instruments including rules, scales, squares gages, testers, pressure indicators, tachometers, test lights, ammeters, meggers, watt meters, and testers; 2) Utilizing more complex measuring instruments including micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparators, protractors, combination squares, dynamic balancers, dividers, templates, precision blocks, millvoltmeters with shunts; frequency meters; bridges; and oscilloscopes; 3) Performing accuracy in checking, counting, verifying, and sorting; 4) Keeping records, logs, inventories, and making reports. 5) Demonstrating knowledge of storage, treatment, care and handling.
