Job summary
Amended announcement - closing date extended - 11/24/2025. This position is located at the NAF Personnel Records Center, Rock Island, Illinois. This role serves as the NAF PRC primary technical liaison for new and existing automation features and HR Information Systems. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Major duties
Provides technical and procedural guidance and training for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) users. Serves as a functional user and initial point of contact to answer questions, researching and resolving systems issues. Creates user instructional guides, job aids and training materials for internal and external customers. Provides technical feedback in development of automation initiatives, tests systems and functionalities prior to deployment and implements automation solutions. Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS focusing on product and service development, delivery and support.
Qualification

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Experience which demonstrates a strong understanding of HRIS platforms and their functionalities, data reporting tools, principles and procedures of processing personnel actions and record keeping and the ability to resolve data integrity and quality issues. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Experience testing, troubleshooting and implementing upgrades in HRIS, proficient in using reporting tools to extract and analyze HR data. Minimum of twelve (12) months work experience in NAF (Non-appropriated Fund) Human Resources, and completion of Career Paths I and II or equivalent.
