Job summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

You will execute system safety and environmental, safety, and occupation health (ESOH) programs. You will assess and document risk by severity and probability level of potential mishaps for hazards across all system modes and defined standards to obtain acceptance of risk by program management. You will collaborate with weapon design teams, senior managers, and decision makers to identify, evaluate, and resolve safety concerns related to weapon systems within a system safety program. You will perform analyses of system safety and ESOH documentation in support of program acquisition milestones, to document risk by severity and probability level of potential mishaps for hazards across various Department of War weapons. You will develop safety data packages for weapons systems and weapon delivery systems to support review by independent safety review authorities.

Qualification

TO QUALIFY FOR NT-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 band (GS-11 through GS-12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: having previous system safety experience in analyzing and coordinating technical engineering methods and procedures to lead technical engineering work in the design, development, test, and maintenance of weapon systems for surface, maritime, or expeditionary and emergent systems. TO QUALIFY FOR NT-04 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 band (GS-09 through GS-10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating technical engineering methods and procedures to perform technical engineering work in the design, development, test, and maintenance of weapon systems for surface, maritime, or expeditionary and emergent systems.
