The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in the Combat System TEST & EVAL DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Major duties

You will serve as the first-level supervisor for branch personnel that involves the technical and administrative management of engineers, technicians, and product support personnel for Link Test Engineering branch. You will provide oversight and direction of engineering and fleet support functions, such as distance and on-site support; modernization; systems engineering; cybersecurity; and Test and Evaluation. You will execute various personnel administrative functions IAW Command or higher level policies, instructions to ensure NSWC PHO leadership is apprised of status and/or concerns and execution of NSWC PHD's mission, goals, and values. You will handle tasks dealing with Testing and Evaluation, hardware engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity, systems Operations and Maintenance, and safety. You will ensure planning and execution of tasks are in alignment with Command and Department Strategic Objectives ensuring the organization's long-range success, leadership in Command initiatives related to strategic studies, planning, and execution. You will analyze, plan, organize, manage, and oversee or execute Test and Evaluation activities in the branch. Determine scope and ensure resources in place to execute branch tasking.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying electronics technician concepts and practices to lead teams in the development, in-service engineering, or testing and evaluation of weapon or combat missile systems.
