Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is a Hybrid Telecommute role based in San Diego, CA, with at least 3 days per week onsite.
What You'll Get to do:
- Negotiate with both large businesses and small businesses on a variety of complex-type contracts.
- Must have an understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks.
- Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Able to be creative in finding solutions to resolve issues.
- Develop solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
- Attend program meetings and may be required to present to groups. Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills.
- Must be knowledgeable of the FAR/DFARS and processes and/or procedures required to be followed in order to be in compliance with FAR/DFARS.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Supply Chain discipline from an accredited university and 8+ years of subcontracts, supplier management, procurement or project management experience OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management with 6+ years experience
- Advanced experience with FAR and DFARS regulations.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
- US Citizenship Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree with focused studies in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience with management of complex subcontracts.
- Experience with negotiations of complex contract types, including inventive fee type contracts
- Experience presenting to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience effectively working with Supplier Management Team (SMT).
- Experience issuing and managing purchase orders/subcontracts from beginning to end of life cycle.
- Knowledge of SAP
